Background
This stage is final project from Binar Academy UI/UX Research and Design. UI/UX and PM collaborate to create a product from scratch to show how well their study from 5 month bootcamp.
My team got theme is beauty e-commerce and we managed to add some features to make a different product from existing competitor.
Project Overview
The Problem
There are many skincare product users who don’t know the character of their facial skin type and it’s difficult to find beauty product that match the skin character
The Goal
Design an app for beauty e-commerce with face scan to inform user about their skin-type.

Conducting research, wireframing, design system, low and high fidelity prototyping, conducting usability studies, and iterating design.

Research
Gathering data from Desk research, Interview and Survey it takes a lot of time. We interview 5 people and take a survey online In this case I’m helping other designer to interview and gather the result We organise and get a theme.
After the research done, We try to sorting, categorizing, and transforming data into valuable information.
We categorize into 4 items: Find a product, Skin problem, Identification skin-type, and Price product.
Insight
Sometimes user don’t know about their skin type, so they buy a skincare based on review
Before buying the skincare product, user tend to see the review from influencer or the product itself.
Sometimes user don’t feel the skincare effect to their skin, so it feel like they wasting money.

Creating persona to who we would design for, We listed goals, motivation, frustration, challenge

How might we
How might we create a UI design that is simple and easy to understand?
How might we provide information about skincare (tips & tricks) so that users who don't understand skincare can get an insight first?
How might we create a face scan feature directly so that users can find products according to their skin condition?
How might we created a skincare recommendation feature for users according to their skin type and the problems they are experiencing?

Face scan feature
User will put their face into front camera and wait for the result to comes out, and We decided to give product recommendation to include in business side.
User can save the skin type into their profile and can use face scan again if necessary.
Usability Test
We conduct usability testing on 5 participant, we use Single Ease Question (SEQ) and System Usability Scale (SUS) to test the prototype.
Single ease question (SEQ) results from 29 tasks for 5 participants have an average of 6.6 with the title very easy to use the application.
Obtain SUS Score with add all participant scores and divide by the number of participants. Accordingly, the SUS score was 80.5 with the predicate excellent.
Lesson Learned
Throughout this project is fascinating and challenging. Communication is the key, at first we still shy to talk about other work and suggestion, but after the first week We conduct a weekly retrospective to improve our self to be brave to talk to another.
Make assumption before interview is okay but don’t let that assumption take over the result from interview, and sometimes result from interview is different with your assumption.
Competitive analysis is important to us because we can know where we will place our product.
